Curbsight — AI for landscape design

Meet Fern. She turns the visitors you already pay for into booked clients.

Fern is Curbsight's AI design concierge. She lives on your website, reimagines a visitor's yard in seconds, hands them a design book they actually want, and turns them into a briefed, in-area lead — cutting your cost per lead from about $167 to about $78.

No new ad budget. No developers. Just more leads from the traffic you already have.

Modeled estimate No live averages published yet — see the assumptions.

Your studio's AI design concierge

Fern does the thing your website can't: she starts the conversation.

Fern is a guided AI concierge that greets every visitor, gives them a genuinely useful, personalized design experience, and invites them to become a lead once they're already delighted. She works under your brand, on the site you already have — a tireless first point of contact who never sleeps and never lets a warm visitor slip away.

A product of Curbsight.

The way you're buying leads is broken

You paid for all 100 clicks. 97 of them walked away.

Paid search sends landscape designers a stream of clicks at $3–$6 each — and you pay for every single one, whether they convert or not. Then your website asks a homeowner who just wanted to look to fill out a cold contact form. Almost nobody does. Industry-wide, it takes ~33 paid clicks to produce one lead.

That's ~$200 for a single name — and 97 visitors you already paid for who leave with nothing, and give you nothing. No project. No style. No budget. Just a bounced click and a receipt.

The problem isn't your traffic. You're already buying plenty. The problem is that almost none of it converts — because you're asking for commitment before giving anyone a reason to care. That's the gap Fern closes.

Plug the leak, don't buy a bigger bucket

Same traffic. Same budget. Far more leads.

Fern isn't another ad channel to fund. She's how you finally convert the visitors you're already paying to bring in.

Every click you buy is money spent whether that person converts or not. Today, 97 of every 100 land on your site, poke around, and vanish — and you footed the bill for all of them. Fern doesn't ask you to spend more at the top of the funnel. She catches far more of what's currently falling out the bottom.

Roughly 1 in 3 of the conversations Fern starts ends in a verified lead — so the exact same ad budget starts producing about 2.4x the leads. You're not buying a bigger bucket. You're finally patching the one you already own.

An open Design Vision Book: golden-hour rendering, site plan, and plant palette
Built around their yard

The hook that changes everything

The Design Vision Book is why they say yes.

A rendering is nice. A personalized design book is irresistible. That's the difference between a visitor who bounces and one who happily hands over their number.

Every book Fern builds is generated around the visitor's own space and includes:

  • A professional "real estate" photography shot of the finished design
  • A rendered site plan of the layout
  • Three detailed feature renderings of the elements they care about most
  • A plant palette of up to 12 species featured in the design
  • A cohesive, print-ready presentation across 5–6 pages

Homeowners don't get a sales pitch. They get a vision of their backyard they can't stop looking at — with your name on it.

It's a concept, not a construction plan — and Fern says so. The book presents an inspiring idea of what the space could become, in the style and budget the homeowner chose. Grading, drainage, plant selection for their soil and light, permits, buildability — that's your expertise, and Fern doesn't pretend otherwise. Homeowners arrive excited about a direction, not holding a plan they expect you to execute as drawn.

Value-first wins

People commit to people who give them something first.

A cold contact form converts roughly 1 paid click in 33. Roughly 1 in 3 of the conversations Fern starts becomes a verified lead — because by the time she asks for contact info, the visitor has already seen their dream yard and been promised a design book they genuinely want.

You're not buying more traffic. You're finally converting the traffic you already have.

The rare win-win

Better for your business — because it's better for your future clients.

Most lead-gen tools win by wearing the visitor down: more pop-ups, more friction, more dark patterns. Someone has to lose for the tool to work. Fern is built the other way — one conversation, two people, and a different payoff for each of them.

The homeowner gets a design. You get a lead. They leave your site feeling helped, not harvested — and that goodwill is exactly why they convert, and why the relationship starts warm instead of adversarial.

For the homeowner

They came to look. They leave with a design.

  • A photorealistic rendering of their own yard — not a gallery of someone else's — in the style they picked, in about two minutes.
  • A full Design Vision Book built around their space, their budget, and the features they asked for.
  • Free, with no form to fill out before they see anything, and no sales pitch attached.

An immediate, personalized design experience — the thing they actually came for.

For you, the designer

Anonymous traffic becomes named, briefed leads.

  • Visitors you were already paying for stop leaving as strangers — the same traffic, identified.
  • Every lead arrives with an address, a photo of the space, goals, style, budget range, and must-have features.
  • Confirmed inside your service area before you ever hear about them, so there's nothing to disqualify later.

More of the traffic you already buy, converted into leads you can actually work.

The same two minutes produce both. That's the whole point — you're not trading the homeowner's experience for your lead, you're getting the lead because of it.

When you give a visitor real value up front, becoming your lead doesn't feel like a cost to them — it feels like a gift. Do right by the homeowner, and the lead takes care of itself.

The numbers that matter

From about $167 a lead to about $78.

Same website. Same visitors you're already paying for. A radically better result.

You're already paying to fill the top of your funnel — and most of that traffic leaks right back out. Fern starts a conversation with about 7 in 100 of that same traffic and turns roughly 1 in 3 of those chats into a verified lead, so the ad budget you already spend produces about 2.4x the leads. Her own cost stays small: a flat $100/month for hosting, then just $1 per qualified chat and $5 per verified lead — about $16 of Fern cost per lead at typical traffic. Blend that with the ad spend you're already committed to, and your cost per lead drops from about $167 to about $78 — and because hosting is flat, it keeps dropping as your traffic grows.

Where these numbers come from

Fern is in founding beta. We're validating with a limited group of landscape firms, which means we don't yet have enough live data to publish real averages — so the projections above are modeled, not measured. We'd rather show you the model than quote you a number we can't back up.

Modeled estimate
We assume 7% of your visitors start a chat with Fern, and 31% of those chats end in a verified lead. Every cost-per-lead and savings figure follows from those two rates applied to the traffic numbers you set. Change the sliders and everything recalculates.
Industry benchmark
The paid-search comparison — $3–$6 per click and roughly 33 clicks per lead — comes from published industry figures, not from our own data.
No badge — actual pricing
$100/month hosting, $1 per qualified chat, and $5 per verified lead are not estimates. That's what you'll be charged.

Better leads, not just cheaper ones

Every lead arrives already briefed — and in your service area.

A form gives you a name. Fern gives you a project. Before your first call, you already know:

Walk into every consultation knowing where they are, what they want, and what they'll spend. Close faster. Waste no time on tire-kickers or out-of-area dreamers.

What counts as a Fern lead

Two things have to happen, and both of them:

  1. 1 They give usable contact information — a real email or phone number, verified before anything is sent.
  2. 2 They ask for their Design Vision Book and receive it — the personalized PDF actually reaches them.

One without the other isn't a lead, and isn't billed. A bad email address, or a book that never lands, costs you nothing.

Your Studio

Hi, I'm Fern — want to see your yard reimagined?

Yours, end to end

Your website. Your brand. Fern out front.

Fern drops into the site you already have — no rebuild, no developers, no new ad platform to learn. The chat, the renderings, and the Design Vision Book all carry your name. To the homeowner, it feels like your firm is the most innovative designer in town. (Because now you are.)

Add Fern to my site

Installing it

One line of code, and you choose where Fern shows up.

An embedded chat widget

A small leaf button rests in the corner of every page, in your brand colors. Visitors open it whenever they're ready — no interruption, no pop-up.

A button on your homepage

Point any call-to-action — a hero button, a nav link, a line in your footer — at your own branded Fern page. Nothing to install at all.

Or both

Most firms run both: the button converts visitors who arrived ready, and the widget catches everyone still browsing.

The widget is one line, pasted once — just before the closing </body> tag, the same place your analytics snippet already lives. It loads after your page, so it can't slow your site down.

<script src="curbsight.ai/widget/your-id.js" async defer></script>

And you don't have to do it alone. We'll add the snippet with you, match Fern's colors to your brand, and test the whole flow on your live site — right through to a delivered Design Vision Book — before you tell a single homeowner about it.

Simple, performance-based pricing

You only pay when Fern works.

Qualified Chat

$1 / qualified chat

Charged once a visitor clears your service area and uploads a photo of their space — never for browsers, bots, or anyone outside your map. That dollar covers the whole conversation: their first rendering, one revision if they want a tweak, and Fern's offer of the full Design Vision Book at the end.

The outcome

Qualified Lead

$5 / verified, delivered lead

A homeowner verifies their contact info and downloads their full Design Vision Book. You get the lead — address, photo, goals, style, budget, and features included.

Hosting $100 / month, flat

Keeps Fern live on your site — the chat, the address check, and your branding, always on. Everything else is pay-per-outcome.

Founding beta

Your first 30 days are free, and we add a $50 usage credit to cover your early designs and leads. When the credit runs out, nothing charges automatically — we talk first and you decide whether to keep going.

One flat hosting fee — beyond that, no paying for empty clicks. Just qualified chats and verified leads.

Curbsight

The company behind Fern

Curbsight is building the AI layer for landscape design.

Landscape design is a craft built on vision, relationships, and hard-won expertise — and it's been badly underserved by software. Curbsight exists to change that: to put the leverage of AI into the hands of the designers doing the work, so they can win more of the right clients and spend more time designing.

Fern is the first product from Curbsight. She tackles the most expensive, most broken part of the business — turning marketing spend into real clients. And she won't be the last thing we build.

One company, bringing modern AI to an industry that's earned better tools. Fern is the first of them. There's a lot more coming.

Questions designers ask

Everything you'd want to know first.

What's the difference between Curbsight and Fern?

Curbsight is the company building AI tools for landscape design. Fern is our first product — the AI design concierge that converts your website traffic into qualified leads.

Do I need to change my website or hire a developer?

No. Fern adds to your existing site. If you can add a widget, you can add Fern.

Do I need to spend more on ads?

No. Fern works with the traffic you already pay for — she just converts far more of it. Same budget, more leads.

How does the address check work?

Fern confirms the visitor's address is inside your service area before going further, so the leads you pay for are always ones you can actually serve.

Will the renderings look like my style of work?

Yes. Visitors choose a design style, and renderings are generated to match — presented under your brand.

How is a Fern lead different from a form fill?

A form fill is a name. A Fern lead comes with an address, a photo of the space, stated goals, style, budget range, and desired features — so your first conversation starts miles ahead.

How do you keep the leads real?

Every lead verifies their email or phone number before Fern generates and delivers their Design Vision Book. You only pay for verified, delivered leads.

What exactly counts as a lead I'm charged for?

Both of these have to happen: the homeowner gives usable contact information that we verify, and they request their Design Vision Book and actually receive it. If only one happens — a bad email, or a book that never lands — it isn't a lead and you aren't billed for it.

What does it cost?

A flat $100/month for hosting, then $1 per qualified chat and $5 per verified lead delivered. A chat only becomes billable once the visitor clears your service area and uploads a photo — so you never pay for browsers or out-of-area traffic.

What does the $1 chat include?

A visitor's first rendering plus one revision if they want something changed, and then Fern offers them the full Design Vision Book. It's one dollar for that whole conversation, not one dollar per image — and it's a guided flow with a clear end, not an open-ended image generator.

What do I pay during the beta?

Nothing for the first 30 days, and we add a $50 usage credit on top to cover your early designs and leads. When the credit is used up, nothing charges automatically — we talk first and you decide whether to continue.

Will I get a warning before the credit runs out?

Yes. We're running the beta with a small enough group that you'll hear from a person, not a billing robot. We'll tell you when your $50 credit is getting low and again when it's gone, and nothing gets charged until you've said yes to continuing.

Where do I put Fern on my site?

Wherever suits you. Most firms use the embedded widget — a small leaf button in the corner of every page — or point a homepage button at their own branded Fern page, or both. The widget is one line of code, and we'll add it with you and test the whole flow on your live site before you announce it.

Are the AI designs actual construction plans?

No, and we're careful to say so to homeowners too. Fern produces a design concept — a photorealistic idea of what the space could become, in the style they chose and within the budget they gave. It's meant to start the conversation, not replace your expertise. Grading, drainage, plant selection for their soil and light, permits, and everything else that makes a design buildable is your work. Homeowners arrive inspired, not holding a plan they expect you to execute.

What happens to the homeowner's photo and information?

The photo and their answers are used to generate their design and to build the lead we hand you, and nothing else. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share leads with other landscape firms — including your competitors. Image generation runs through Google's Gemini API, so photos are processed by that service to produce the rendering. Full detail is in our privacy notice.

Who owns the leads?

You do. They're your leads, generated from your website traffic, under your brand. We don't resell them, share them between accounts, or market to them ourselves.

How fast can I be live?

Most designers are up and running the same week they sign up.
